This is the first review I’ve ever written on booking.com and I’m only doing so because my stay at Rotana was absolutely incredible — if you’re considering this place, look no further, it’s perfect. Here’s my review breakdown: Staff: they made this trip worthwhile and truly memorable from the moment we checked in. We felt like we’re home and we were truly taken care of. They recommended shops, restaurants and so much more when we asked. They even provided me with a first aid kit when I got injured even though I didn’t ask for it. They’re amazing. Shout out to Mohammed for impeccable hospitality. I’ve been to many Rotana branches around the world, this by far is the best of the best. The entire Rotana team deserves a great year end bonus for their performance. 10000000/10. Location: perfection, you’ve got 3 incredible barista shops around, 2 great pharmacies, a supermarket, a bakery, groceries, a hospital, and an incredible hair salon that’s a 2 min walking distance. Everything you may ever require is a 10 minute walking distance max. I enjoyed it so much I can’t put it into words. Rooms: GCC fellows, I understand as a GCC resident you may have skepticism about the AC especially if you’ve read previous reviews, but it works absolutely fine if you close the windows properly. They staff will also double check and do the needful if it’s not functioning well — the rooms are exceptionally clean and they smell fantastic. Housekeeping were so good they rang us in before we rung them in everyday, we had 0 complaints.

Ideally located in downtown Beirut and not far from the bustle and vibrant shopping streets, a short walk to the Corniche and slightly further to the marina and port or main shopping district of the redeveloped seafront. The hotel is very large with amenities spread across its seventeen levels with a very highly rated restaurant on the ground floor entrance level. The staff were so friendly and welcoming making my visit so much more relaxing with greetings and a smile at all times from every member of staff I encountered. I arranged an airport transfer to the hotel and was met, warmly, as I exited arrivals then had a comfortable journey to the hotel with my driver pointing out areas and landmarks as we passed through the city. Check in was smooth and my room was on the twelfth floor with a seated balcony area and views of the city and large room and shower room with a very comfortable bed and plenty of storage, with hot drink facilities and a fridge too. As for Beirut, all I can say is if you haven’t visited, you must, it’s large, vibrant and welcoming, beautiful sights, friendly people and incredible nightlife, it was the highlight of my winter vacation, by far. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for giving me the opportunity to enjoy your hospitality at your beautiful hotel.

What has been always exceptional? The personnel. There are still employees I remember from my first stay, which says it is a good place to work. Every single one, both the "veterans" and new guys are just amazing, flexible, positive, supportive. My flight days and departure times were frequently changed this time, however, all these changes affecting my check-in and check-out were accommodated. I would like to mention Ms Bouchra by name, she handled my last check-out changes and taxi booking and arranged everything in no time. My "like" part would not be complete without praising the Reservation department for support and managing all arrival changes. Currently, I have no new projects that would take me to Beirut but hope it was not my last trip. And if it were, I have a treasury of wonderful memories.

An excellent stay from the moment of my smooth and welcoming check-in with Mr. Paul at the front desk. All other hotel staff (managers included) combine professionalism with courtesy and eagerness to ensure that guest expectations are met and surpassed. Rooms are clean, quiet, and modern, with high-quality bedding. The rooftop pool offers a broad view of the city and sea. The gym is up-to-date and equipped with machines, mats, free weights (including a rack), and plenty of towels. Water, electrical power, and Internet all reliable. The breakfast buffet offers an ample international selection that includes fresh fruit and omelets made to order. For walks in the fresh air, the seafront promenade is reachable in under 10 minutes. Overall, the Gefinor Rotana is a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Staying at Gefinor Rotana did ease my stay in Lebanon. I came for a medical reason, and this was something the whole staff took into consideration, offering the best service I needed during my stay. I extended for one more week, and Mr. Mohamed was very respectful, honest and wholeheartedly the best host ever. This is not my first time in Beirut, but I regret that I haven't stayed at Gefinor Rotana before. The WIFI in the room worked perfectly, and even the housekeeping staff always made sure nothing was missing. The area was within a perfect distance to everything you needed, by Uber I could reach most of Beirut in a few minutes. I'm really surprised, that this service is still to be found, without expecting anything in return. I will book my next stay here with the family in July 2023.
